JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Business Analyst – Finance & Accounting Location: Miamisburg, OH (HQ) Department: Information Technology Reports To: IT Applications Manager FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt Level: IC Summary The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) Business Analyst – Finance & Accounting serves as the primary IT liaison supporting Finance and Accounting business users. This role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT to improve business processes, resolve system issues, and optimize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial modules. This position requires direct, hands-on functional experience working inside the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial modules — configuring modules, troubleshooting issues, supporting users, and resolving production tickets. Direct, in-system experience is the most important qualification for this role; it combines that practical ERP expertise with strong accounting and finance domain knowledge to ensure financial processes, controls, and reporting requirements are effectively translated into scalable, well-supported system solutions. This position resides within IT but is dedicated to supporting Finance & Accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives. Why This Role Matters JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is the financial backbone of Covation Global — every close, reconciliation, payment, and report runs through it. When something breaks at month-end, when a batch fails, or when Accounting needs a process to work better, the business needs someone who can go directly into the system and fix it, not just describe the problem. That is what this role provides: a hands-on E1 Financials expert embedded in support of Finance and Accounting. Because this person works directly in the modules — configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues firsthand — they keep financial operations accurate, compliant, and running on time, and they turn business needs into real, well-supported system solutions. Without that direct, in-system capability, issues linger, closes slip, and finance processes stay manual and fragile. What Success Looks Like (3 Core Outcomes): - Reliable Financial Systems & On-Time Closes: JDE Financial modules run reliably through month-, quarter-, and year-end close. Production issues, batch failures, posting errors, and reconciliation discrepancies are diagnosed and resolved quickly and directly in the system, minimizing impact to Finance and Accounting.
- Improved, Well-Controlled Processes: “As-is” financial processes are evaluated and improved into stronger “to-be” designs that enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting accuracy — with configurations that support GAAP/IFRS, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Trusted Partner to Finance & IT: Finance, Accounting, and IT rely on this role as a responsive, knowledgeable partner who translates business needs into clear specifications and Change Requests, coordinates testing and successful deployments, and provides effective training and knowledge transfer to end users.
