Job Summary

As an Information Systems Business Analyst, you will quickly learn about our various business areas to gain an understanding of the business needs and then participate in the development of solutions that can be communicated to the business. You will work closely with various functional groups, format leaders with some supervision, often on small/medium initiatives for customer facing web and mobile applications as well as our loyalty and marketing systems.

  • Please note this role is based out of Cranberry, PA and therefore, may require you to come into our Cranberry HQ office at times (once per week/month - per business needs) *

Job Description

Experience Required: 3 to 5 years as Business Analyst or IT Service Support (IT Service Management is a plus)

Experience Required: Experience with ServiceNow (Service Catalog experience is a plus)

Experience Desired: Experience working in a retail technology environment; Experience managing medium to large projects; Experience with IT Service Management

Education Desired: Bachelors Degree

Certification or Licensing Desired: IIBA Certification

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize proficiency in the following areas: business case development, requirements elicitation, requirements traceability, test cases and user stories, root cause analysis, process modeling, data modeling, process improvement, facilitation skills and Agile methodologies.
  • Refine and clarify the definition of a business need and define a solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the business. This includes problem definition and analysis, business case development, feasibility studies, and the definition of solution scope. In addition to gathering this data, create detailed, clear, and accurate documentation of each of the above elements and other items as needed.
  • Clarify and communicate stakeholder and solution requirements to enable the project team to implement a solution that will meet the needs of the sponsoring organization and stakeholders. This involves analyzing stakeholder needs to define solutions that meet those needs, assessing the current state of the business to identify and recommend improvements, and the verification and validation of the resulting requirements. In addition to gathering this data, create detailed, clear, and accurate documentation of each of the above elements and other items as needed.
  • Help to determine which solution best fits the business need, identify gaps and shortcomings in solutions, and determine necessary workarounds or changes to the solution. This includes the ability to understand the costs and risks of filling these gaps and the ability to describe that to the business.
  • Develop test scripts and assist in user acceptance testing that is tied back to the detailed functional and technical requirements.
  • Manage and communicate requirements to stakeholders and ensure that knowledge gained by the business analyst is maintained for future use.
  • Assist in determining performance metrics to be used to validate the success of the proposed solution.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and understand their needs and concerns and understand the environment in which they work.
  • Facilitate small to moderate sized meetings up through the Director level of the organization.
  • Participate in and help facilitate sprint planning daily stand-ups, backlog refinement(grooming), sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

The hiring range for this position is $62200.00- $72550.00 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. Eligible employees may be offered health, vision, and dental insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, paid bereavement, vacation and paid holidays.
