  • Job Description:
    Perform analysis of business goals, objectives and needs. Analyzes business-oriented projects and programs where technology may be part of the process or solution. Plan and design business processes and make recommendations and changes to improve and support business activities, software and systems. Utilize data and systems to resolve business issues. Elicit, analyze, validate and document business, organizational and/or operational requirements. Translates business requirements for technical staff and assists in development of solutions. Assist and lead projects and teams. Work with business and project team members to evaluate business needs, define and prioritize requirements, and ensure that process flows and analytical capabilities align with leading business practices. Work as part of project teams to create/enhance/implement business processes and supporting solutions ensuring requirements are delivered as agreed and on time, gathering additional resources as needed. Identify and gather business requirements. Research internal and external leading business practices. Promote and direct ongoing use of processes and supporting functionality so that business unit management fully exploits business information to deliver added value. Market and communicate program vision to project teams, key business stakeholders and executive leadership. Ensure continued business sponsorship, engagement and commitment. Work closely with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify user information requirements and seek opportunities to support critical business strategies, improve business processes, and educate the workforce about the strategic use of technology. Business analysis, requirements and projects may include the following activities/responsibilities: Plan an approach for documenting, categorizing and packaging requirements. Verify that requirements are testable and generate testing objectives. Create tools and supporting processes that allow business analysts and project teams to conduct requirement reviews. Outline requirements and manage scope. Provide input and updates to project plans, resource tracking, issues and risks during projects. Compile and executes use of tools, templates and processes for business analysts and project teams. Plan/execute/deliver quality improvement. Gather specifications, requirements and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals. Translate requirements into solutions that may include a technology component, process improvement or organizational change. EDUCATION: Bachelor s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE: See leveling guide ... related professional business experience, project management experience, and/or related product experience. Experience in business modeling and process engineering preferred. Business or systems experience within the functional area a plus. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: General business knowledge required; knowledge of business supported preferred. Reasoning and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues. Financial management and analysis skills. Technology aptitude preferred, including development, programming and coding within the business landscape. Project management skills and abilities, with ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment. Organized, with ability to manage and prioritize several projects at once. Drive, initiative and creativity. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Presentation skills; ability to present and explain business requirements to all audiences. Influencing skills to gain commitment and support for decisions and to motivate the organization to support business changes. Ability to translate business process or concepts into technical requirements (and vice versa). Ability to perform root cause analysis and problem resolution.
