Description / Position Overview

Business Analyst II - Municipal Court

About the Job: In this role, you will support IT (information technology) implementation and maintenance projects within the Municipal Court by managing project intake, developing project documentation, and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to streamline software implementation and maintenance. This role will analyze project metrics to provide insights on performance, highlight trends, and support data-driven decisions.

This position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year.

As a Business Analyst II, you will:

  • Assist with project intake, records management, software maintenance and development, and process documentation.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators to assess portfolio performance and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and accomplishments, offering insights for strategic improvements.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including knowledge articles, to ensure effective communication of project procedures and expectations.
  • Identify project issues and roadblocks, and work collaboratively to develop solutions.
  • Provide resource management and support for key components of the project lifecycle.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Knowledge of:

  • Project management lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Key performance indicators and metrics analysis for portfolio assessment.
  • IT service delivery and resource management strategies.

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Independently manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines, consulting with supervisors as needed.
  • Identify and resolve project issues through data-driven analysis and strategic problem-solving.
  • Build effective working relationships with team members, project managers, and IT (information technology) stakeholders.
  • Stay current on evolving project management methodologies, especially those related to resource management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, information technology, project management, or a related field.
  • Three years of full-time, professional experience in business analysis, project management, or a related field.

  • Experience with federal, state, and local government operating procedures.
