Description

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This is a Hybrid Role in Madison, WI 53718 or Cedar Rapids, IA 52401 (Candidate can work at ANY of these 2 locations as per their preference). Details for the position are as follows:
 

Pay Rate - $58 – 65/hr on W2

12 months Contract Role (HIGH Possibility for further extension)
 


JOB SUMMARY: Liaisons between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new business systems and enhancement to existing systems. Performs moderately complex business systems needs analysis, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives, defines specifications, conducts testing, implements and maintains systems, and develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business system operations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Builds and maintains business systems using Agile principles and processes. * Following general instructions from manager or more experienced business analysts, ensures systems are operating as designed, evaluates requests for changes to the system, provides routine system maintenance, documents system processes and procedures, suggest system improvements, and makes daily decisions involving direct application of technical knowledge to system issues. * Typically works on moderately complex and smaller, less defined solutions to assess and refine user stories, collaborate with scrum teams and product owners on solutions, develop test plans, conduct testing, and implement systems and system improvements. * Voices customer requirements in to user stories using Agile tools. Communicates with peers such that user stories are clearly understood by all stakeholders. * Assists product and service owners in communicating changes to business systems. * Contributes to development of business cases for improving and/or developing systems. * Maintains relationships with other IT areas. May manage relationships with outside vendors. * On occasion, may provide guidance to less experienced business analysts. * Establishes standard procedures to ensure business systems are executed at an acceptable level of quality. Develops and monitors the use of system controls (i.e., system uptime, batches, reports, queries), and supports end users in developing reports and/or database queries. * Handles simple to moderately complex inquiries regarding the technical aspects of business systems by providing assistance to and coordinating work with IT staff and other business units. * Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures to provide functional and end-user support including enduser assistance, system maintenance, and troubleshooting. * Assists in developing and rolling out system application training for technical, departmental and end users. May provide training to others on smaller, less complex systems.

Required Experience:
* 3 years of related experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information. * Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to lead a project team to the successful conclusion of simple technology initiatives preferred. * Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management) and ability to work with new technologies. * Demonstrated ability with database query tools, automating testing tools, workflow diagramming, and reporting and retention tools preferred. * Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work effectively when multiple priorities and timelines exist. * Works in a diverse and inclusive environment.
