Business Analyst

Drive Smarter Logistics Through Data, Systems, and Process Innovation

We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Logistics BI Analyst III to join a fast-paced Business Improvement team focused on transportation systems, logistics analytics, process optimization, and enterprise data integration. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of supply chain operations, technology, analytics, and continuous improvement in a highly collaborative environment.

In this role, you'll help enhance transportation management capabilities, improve logistics transparency, optimize system performance, and support strategic business initiatives across rail and truck operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Logistics Systems & Integration Support

  • Monitor and support integrations between Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SAP/ERP platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and process issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive timely resolution of operational challenges.
  • Maintain high levels of data integrity across logistics systems and support critical transportation transactions.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Leverage operational data, reporting tools, and analytics to identify trends, improve visibility, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze logistics workflows and end-to-end data flows to improve reporting consistency, operational accuracy, and process efficiency.
  • Develop actionable recommendations that improve transportation performance and system effectiveness.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Partner cross-functionally with logistics, IT, commercial, and operational teams to support system enhancements, integrations, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Support strategic business improvement projects focused on freight management systems, logistics transparency, and operational scalability.
  • Document process changes, business requirements, system interactions, and improvement initiatives while communicating business impact to stakeholders.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for transportation systems and logistics workflows across the organization.
  • Work independently on moderately complex assignments while effectively managing priorities, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Help drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to challenge inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience supporting:
    • Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
    • SAP or ERP platforms
    • Logistics operations
    • Process improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of rail and truck transportation operations, including shipment tracking, freight optimization, and carrier coordination
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience documenting business requirements, workflows, and system interactions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft 365 tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving business environment
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP R/3
  • Familiarity with:
    • Vendor billing documents
    • Shipment cost documents
    • Nominations
    • Ticket actualization
  • Experience integrating TMS platforms with ERP and enterprise systems
  • Ability to map end-to-end business processes and improve enterprise-wide data accuracy
  • Experience supporting logistics optimization initiatives across rail and truck operations
  • Exposure to business intelligence, reporting, or dashboarding tools
