Description

Our client is seeking a Business Data Analyst with knowledge in General Ledger reporting and financial accounting expertise in a banking environment. This person must have a strong understanding of journal processing, subledgers, balance sheet composition, reconciliation concepts, audits, assests, etc. Snowflake or Databricks knowledge is advantageous.

Description

  • Gather, analyze, and document business, data, and reporting requirements.
  • Translate requirements into data mappings, functional specifications, and design artifacts.
  • Analyze end-to-end financial data flows from source systems through subledgers and General Ledger platforms.
  • Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and logical data models.
  • Partner with Finance, Product Control, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Support data warehouse, reporting, governance, and modernization initiatives.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliation, impact assessments, and root-cause investigations.

Profile

  • Strong finance and accounting knowledge - candidates must understand GL, journal processing, subledgers, balance sheet composition, reconciliation concepts, audits, assets/ liabilities, deposits, loans, trading products, securities, regulatory and risk reporting
  • Utilizing SQL for data analysis and validation
  • SAP Finance or SAP GL experience
  • Data warehouse and data lake architecture experience
  • Databricks/ Python/ Snowflake is preferred but not required
