Job Title:- Business Analyst
Job Location:- Dallas/Irving, TX/Jacksonville, FL onsite 3 days a week
Duration: Through 4/19/27, potential extension


Responsibilities
  • The Business Analyst bridges business stakeholders and the delivery team during the migration off legacy ETL platforms (Ab Initio, Informatica) onto the target data architecture.
  • The BA owns requirements capture, current-state mapping, and traceability from legacy job logic through to target-state design, and is a primary interface for UAT and release sign-off.
  • Elicit and document business and functional requirements for data pipeline migration and modernization workstreams, working directly with business sponsors and source-system owners.
  • Reverse-engineer and document existing Ab Initio / Informatica job logic, mappings, and business rules as the basis for target-state requirements.
  • Translate legacy ETL transformation logic into clear, testable functional specifications for the engineering and architecture teams.
  • Build and maintain requirements traceability matrices linking legacy logic, target design, and test cases.
  • Facilitate requirements walkthroughs, scenario workshops, and sign-off sessions with Business Analysts, Business Sponsors, and Testing teams.
  • Support End-to-End (ETE) testing scoping, working with the Test Architect to confirm ETE scenarios and readiness ahead of UAT.
  • Maintain the Project Scope and Feature documentation (PTS / Confluence) and keep it aligned with evolving requirements.
  • Assist in production readiness and defect triage by clarifying intended business behavior against JIRA-tracked defects.
  • Support change impact analysis when release scope or timelines shift.
Requirements
  • 7+ years as a Business Analyst on data-intensive or platform-migration programs.
  • Working familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts; direct exposure to Ab Initio, Informatica, or similar legacy ETL tooling strongly preferred.
  • Experience writing functional specifications and traceability documentation for data transformation logic.
  • Comfortable working with JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr (or equivalent test management tooling).
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills; able to run workshops with both business and technical audiences.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise ETL/ELT Data warehousing concepts with direct exposure to Ab Initio, Informatica or  other legacy ETL tools
