Job Description -
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong PeopleSoft and SQL experience to support requirements analysis, data mapping, reporting, testing, and issue resolution across Benefits, Payroll, and Job-related data. The ideal candidate can translate technical requirements into clear business outcomes and work confidently with complex PeopleSoft data structures, effective-dated records, and FTP/SFTP file integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate technical requirements documents into functional requirements, process flows, data mappings, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve data or process ambiguities.
• Write and analyze complex SQL queries involving multiple joins, subqueries, aggregations, and effective-dated logic.

Work with PeopleSoft tables and data related to:

• Benefits
• Payroll
• Job and employee information

• Analyze effective-dated records, including EFFDT selection logic and historical versus current-row requirements.
• Support data validation, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and defect resolution.
• Document source-to-target mappings and integration requirements.
• Support FTP/SFTP file-based integrations, including file layouts, transmission processes, and validation procedures.
• Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and data validation procedures.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and knowledge-transfer activities.

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level Business Analyst experience in enterprise HR, payroll, benefits, or related systems.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and translate technical requirements documents.
• Advanced SQL knowledge, including complex joins and data analysis.
• Practical experience working with PeopleSoft data and tables.
• Strong understanding of effective-dated data and EFFDT logic.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Benefits, Payroll, and Job data.
• Working knowledge of FTP and SFTP processes.
• Experience with requirements gathering, data analysis, testing, and defect management.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a complex, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting PeopleSoft integrations or HR data conversions.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft query tools, reporting, or extract processes.
• Experience with file-based inbound and outbound interfaces.
• Knowledge of HR data privacy and access-control practices.
• Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or structured SDLC environments.
