About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking a Business Analyst with strong Mortgage and/or Consumer Lending experience and specialized knowledge of lending regulations to support a strategic consumer lending platform initiative within a leading financial services organization.

This consultant will work closely with business, technology, operations, compliance, and regulatory stakeholders to translate lending and regulatory requirements into effective platform capabilities and business processes.

The ideal candidate combines strong Business Analysis skills with hands-on knowledge of Mortgage and Consumer Lending regulations, disclosures, documentation, and lending processes.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business, technology, operations, compliance, and regulatory stakeholders to understand lending requirements and objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and regulatory requirements.
• Translate Mortgage and Consumer Lending regulatory requirements into clear business requirements, processes, and user stories.
• Analyze current-state and future-state lending processes and identify regulatory, operational, and process gaps.
• Support requirements related to lending disclosures, documentation, letters, and customer communications.
• Support the design, deployment, and enhancement of a strategic consumer lending platform.
• Analyze how regulatory requirements impact the end-to-end lending lifecycle and associated workflows.
• Identify dependencies, risks, gaps, and opportunities related to regulatory and business requirements.
• Develop and document process flows, requirements, workflows, and other project deliverables.
• Participate in workshops, discovery sessions, requirements meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
• Support testing and validation of regulatory requirements, lending documentation, disclosures, and related platform functionality.
• Collaborate with project management, product, technology, lending operations, and other business stakeholders.
• Communicate complex business and regulatory concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably within financial services.
• Strong Mortgage and/or Consumer Lending experience.
• Strong knowledge of Mortgage and/or Consumer Lending regulatory requirements.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into business and functional requirements.
• Experience with lending disclosures, documentation, letters, or customer communications.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end lending lifecycle and operational lending processes.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Experience analyzing and documenting business processes, workflows, and procedures.
• Experience supporting technology initiatives, platform implementations, or business transformation efforts.
• Experience working with cross-functional business, technology, operations, compliance, and/or product teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and adjust communication style across different levels of an organization.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Data mapping and data requirements
• Lending operations and workflow analysis
• User experience, customer journeys, or user flows
• Project Management and/or Agile delivery
