Description

Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid role with 3 days onsite at local Client Office

Contract: 12+ Months
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support Status Center, a centralized, read-only, self-service tool that provides US branch teams with situational awareness into the status of specific client-related items being processed across multiple back-office applications.
Status Center is designed to reduce uncertainty by answering one primary question: “What is happening with this item right now?” The tool is not transactional and is not a system of record. This role is focused on helping turn fragmented, partially understood data into stable, validated, decision-ready meaning before it reaches users, UX, or engineering.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical thinking with technical fluency and the ability to work across stakeholders, systems, and data dependencies to establish reliable status information.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct source discovery to identify where status data originates and how it moves across back-office systems.
• Partner with business, operations, product, UX, and engineering stakeholders to understand current-state workflows and status dependencies.
• Investigate fragmented or partially understood data to validate status logic and establish reliable meaning.
• Translate complex dependencies, exceptions, and business rules into clear requirements and actionable documentation.
• Apply systems thinking to understand how upstream and downstream processes affect the accuracy and usability of status information.
• Support scenario-based analysis to evaluate how different processing conditions should be reflected in Status Center.
• Work with technical teams to understand APIs, data pipelines, payloads, and integration points that feed status data.
• Help define and validate metrics that measure trust, reliability, and usability of surfaced status information.
• Document workflows, edge cases, and decision logic to support UX design, engineering implementation, and business review.
• Participate in requirement refinement, testing support, issue triage, and validation of delivered functionality.
• Ensure Status Center continues to provide fast, reliable, self-service status visibility for end users.
Required Qualifications
• Experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting business applications, data flows, or integrated systems.
• Strong source discovery and stakeholder navigation skills.
• Demonstrated systems thinking with the ability to understand interdependencies across applications and processes.
• Strong investigative analysis skills, including the ability to work through ambiguity and validate assumptions.
• Ability to understand and translate dependencies, business rules, and process impacts into clear requirements.
• Technical fluency with APIs, data pipelines, payloads, and other integration concepts.
• Experience with scenario-based thinking and documenting edge cases or exception handling.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Metrics and analytics mindset, with interest in measuring trust, quality, and reliability of business data.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting read-only, self-service, operational visibility, or status-tracking tools.
• Familiarity with multi-system back-office environments and transaction processing workflows.
• Experience partnering with UX and engineering teams on data-driven product experiences.
• Exposure to data quality, validation, or trust measurement concepts.
• Ability to work comfortably in environments where business meaning must be derived from incomplete or inconsistent source data.
