Description

JOB TITLE: Business Analyst

Scope of Services

Define and document business functions and processes.
Analyze the integration of business functions with technology.
Maintain a working knowledge of accounting, procurement, finance, or contract management.
Assist with business case development and business process reengineering.
Consult with management and personnel to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input, and output requirements.
Recommend new processes that yield operational efficiencies.
Develop or assist with project work plans and project timelines.
Perform software testing and confirm adherence to acceptance criteria.

Mandatory Expertise / Experience

Ten (10)+ years of experience in:
- Business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation
- Facilitating meetings with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
- Translating business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Data analysis, workflow mapping, and process improvement
- Supporting software development teams with user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases

Desirable Expertise / Experience

Experience with public-sector or government projects
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
Experience conducting user training and developing user guides
