Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst 5 to lead large-scale application initiatives and bridge business needs with complex technical solutions. This senior-level role requires deep expertise in requirements elicitation, technical documentation, solution design review, and enterprise system modernization.

This position demands a strategic thinker who can analyze legacy environments, design scalable solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, human-centric applications.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (REQUIRED)

• 8+ years of experience eliciting business requirements and translating them into detailed technical design documents in partnership with architects

• Proven ability to review technical designs and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards

• Strong experience in responsive design application development with a focus on user-centric solutions

• Expertise in identifying system gaps and recommending:

• New feature development

• Third-party integrations

• Legacy system modernization

• Deep knowledge of:

• Agile, Scrum, Kanban

• DevOps practices

• SDLC methodologies (including Waterfall)

• Experience working with APIs, middleware, cloud platforms, and enterprise integrations

• Proficiency in process modeling tools (flowcharts, data models, business process diagrams)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements
• Translate business needs into actionable development tasks
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams
• Lead discussions to bridge business requirements and technical constraints
• Conduct build vs. buy evaluations
• Assess legacy modernization and integration strategies
• Ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation
• Analyze raw project data and extract actionable insights
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and promote best practices
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to successful on-time delivery

Work Requirements

• Hybrid schedule (2-5 days onsite weekly at manager's discretion)
• Must be onsite from Day One
• No remote-only option
• Must be available for in-person interview
• Must present valid government-issued ID at interview
