Description

Title: Business Analyst 3(With Change Management Expertise)
Location: Vancouver, WA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Pay Range: $60.00 – $63.23 per hour

The Business Analyst 3 supports organizational initiatives by translating business objectives into practical improvements to processes, systems, and operations. The role works closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business needs, evaluate solutions, and develop recommendations that improve efficiency and effectiveness. Success in this position requires strong communication, analytical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to manage competing priorities while contributing to documentation, knowledge sharing, training, and business continuity.

Position Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of business and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze organizational structures, functions, and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend changes to optimize resource allocation, personnel utilization, processes, systems, controls, and operational methods.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational efficiency and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Recommend process modifications and technology enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of projects, programs, and procedures.
  • Monitor and communicate project or assignment status, risks, issues, and concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and effective communication with project teams, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand technical requirements, business needs, and operational considerations.
  • Evaluate potential tradeoffs between usability, performance, functionality, and other business or technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with project leadership and stakeholders to develop recommendations and support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain documentation that promotes consistent and repeatable business processes.
  • Create documentation and supporting materials to facilitate training, business continuity, knowledge transfer, and adoption of new analytical tools.

Position Requirements
Education & Corresponding Experience
  • A degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Computer Science, Organizational Development, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • With an applicable Bachelor's degree, 8 yrs of experience is required.
  • With an applicable Associate's degree, 10 years of experience is required.
  • Without an applicable degree, 12 years of experience is required.
  • Experience should be direct work experience and knowledge of analysis and change management principles and methodologies with a solid understanding of how analytics and change management support the change process and how individuals experience and navigate transitions.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and providing Change Management programmatic set up and support to organizations.
  • Experience with project and change management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Visio (flowcharts), MS Project, Access, and SharePoint.
  • Technical interviewing skills:
    • Possess functional/process interviewing skills within a business environment.
    • Possess ability to facilitate groups through process design and requirements-gathering sessions.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation.
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) designation.
  • Experience with International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) methods.
  • Experience with the Prosci methodology for Change Management.
