What You'll Do as a Busbar Machine Operator:- Prepare and set up the busbar punching and bending machine by loading the appropriate tools, dies, and busbar materials
- Ensure the machine is properly calibrated and aligned for precise punching and bending operations
- Operate the machine to punch holes or cutouts into the busbars based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Use the machine to accurately bend the busbars to the required angles and dimensions, following bending sequences and measurements provided in the engineering drawings.
- Load and position busbar materials onto the machine's work area, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate punching and bending
- Regularly inspect punched and bent busbars to verify dimensional accuracy and quality, using measuring instruments such as calipers and gauge
- Identify and resolve minor issues or deviations that may occur during the punching and bending process, such as material irregularities or machine malfunctions
- Accurately record production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities to maintain production records and assist in process improvement efforts
What You Need to Bring to the Busbar Machine Operator Role:- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical education or vocational training in machine operation or metalworking is preferred.
- Experience in machine operation or mechanical ability and aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together in a line to produce high quality products
- Previous experience as a Busbar Punching and Bending Machine Operator or in a similar role within the electrical manufacturing industry is highly desirable
- 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
