Job SummaryCardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking an attentive Bus Driver responsible for safe resident transportation and basic vehicle upkeep. This role includes inspecting the bus before each trip, completing required documentation, maintaining interior cleanliness, and following the monthly driving schedule coordinated by the Activity Director.   Overview and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all upkeep and maintenance of bus, including interior cleaning.Inspects bus before each trip and fills out appropriate paperwork.Activity Director coordinates and provides the monthly bus schedule to drive. Knowledge and Experience RequirementsPrevious experience driving bus in St. Louis City and County mandatory.Must have the minimum of a Commercial Driver License (CDL) license Class C with passenger endorsement.Must certify to the Department of Revenue that you will operate in accordance with the classification of "Non-excepted interstate".Must provide a current certified medical examiner's certificate (CDL medical card), every two years or as required by state and federal law.Must provide a (color) copy of current, non-expired Commercial Driver License (CDL) with each renewal. Skills and Competencies RequiredKnowledgeable of bus operations- lift, hatch, wheelchair securement Knowledgeable of CPR and first AidDemonstrate knowledgeable of transportation policy and safetyMust have ability to work well and demonstrate patience with senior adults.Must be flexible and personable.Must exhibit willingness to help residents with their packages.Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.Must be able to perform the essential physical/mental functions/requirements of the position. Resources for Which AccountableMust have good relationship with residents and fellow employees.
