BUS DRIVER / PART TIME

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid commercial driving license CDL, Class B, with a Passenger and School Bus Endorsement • A clean driving record is required. • Ability to write reports or logs as needed for operational purposes. • A commitment to safety is essential for this role.

SCOPE:

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and timely transportation of passengers, while providing exceptional support to special education students in particular. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to educate passengers on safety protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Safely operate a bus on designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. • Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for passengers. • Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and safety procedures. • Address passenger inquiries, or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. • Educate passengers on safety measures during transit to ensure a secure travel experience. • Report any mechanical issues or incidents promptly to management.
