• Pay based upon Transportation Contract

Qualifications

The position of a Bus Driver requires that the individual assume responsibility for the safe transportation of students. The successful applicant should possess the following personal and professional qualities:

• Class B CDL License with Passenger and Bus endorsements
• State of Michigan Department of Education Bus Driver Certification
• Good physical condition (required by law to pass a physical)
• Caring individual, positive experience with students
• Dependable
• Excellent proven driving skills
• Be alert and exercise good judgment
• Exhibit a positive image as a loyal representative of the school district
• Ability to supervise students in stressful situations
• Have the ability to establish favorable working relationships with administration, other drivers, maintenance personnel, teachers and students and is a team player
• The District will provide training and cover the cost of a CDL for those who do not have one.
