Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Bus Body & Structural Repair Technician to repair and restore heavy-gauge steel bus cab structures and components.
This is a hands-on position for someone with experience in auto body repair, heavy-duty vehicle repair, bus/coach repair, metal fabrication, or structural welding.
What You'll Do
- Inspect and repair damaged bus cab structures and components
- Straighten and repair heavy-gauge steel
- Remove dents and correct damaged or distorted metal
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components
- Measure, cut, bend, form, and prepare metal for repair
- MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core weld
- Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Use equipment such as shears, press brakes, rollers, band saws, drills, and presses
- Grind, sand, and finish repaired areas
- Reassemble components after repairs
- Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
