Burn Table Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Burn Table Operator who can operate machinery with accuracy and safety to perform a variety of tasks. This is an essential role as some materials cannot be shaped or handled manually or with conventional equipment. CNC burn table operators are highly skilled and must be able to work with great concentration and precision, while being responsible and complying with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and mechanical aptitude are crucial to this role. The goal is to produce high-quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the correct operations.

**The hours would either be 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM or 8 PM – 6:30 AM Mon – Thurs with OT as needed. Will train on day shift.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC burn table machines safely and accurately using torches and plasma cutting operations
• Understand the specifications of the task and desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
• Load raw materials and parts onto the machine table
• Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
• Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large numbers of parts
• Supervise machines while they execute tasks and make necessary adjustments for better results
• Inspect and verify finished products' material, identify parts for later processes, and compare them with drawing requirements to determine proper completion of the process
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Skills:

• Proven experience as a CNC burn table operator
• Ability to operate CNC burn table machinery and tooling
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
• Keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
• Good communication abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in burn table operation is a plus
