Westaff is hiring an experienced Bundle Shop Foreman!

Westaff is seeking a Bundle Shop Foreman to oversee daily shop operations involving the assembly, repair, and testing of shell and tube heat exchanger bundles.
This is a working foreman position, ideal for someone who can lead from the shop floor, support their crew, troubleshoot technical issues, and keep production moving to meet customer deadlines.
Lead Shop Operations & Production
Oversee daily bundle shop activities, including assembly, tube installation, expansion/rolling, welding, and hydrostatic testing.
Coordinate bundle insertion, exchanger assembly, and preparation for shipment.
Assign daily work, manage manpower, and ensure production schedules stay on track.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, fabrication challenges, and workflow interruptions.
Work closely with Machine Shop, Weld Shop, Quality Control, and Receiving teams.
Ensure efficient use of labor, materials, equipment, and shop resources.
Lead, Train & Support Your Team
Supervise, train, and mentor shop personnel while remaining actively involved in daily operations.
Establish clear expectations for productivity, workmanship, and safety.
Monitor crew performance, provide direction, and address issues as needed.
Build a team-oriented environment focused on accountability, quality, and results.
Maintain Quality & Safety Standards
Ensure all work meets engineering drawings, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions.
Verify workmanship throughout critical stages of assembly and fabrication.
Coordinate inspections, quality checkpoints, and testing requirements.
Maintain compliance with applicable ASME and TEMA standards, inspection test plans, and company quality procedures.
Conduct daily job briefings, reinforce safe work practices, and ensure proper PPE usage.
Verify lifting equipment, tools, and safety equipment are inspected and ready for use.
Track Progress & Communicate Results
Monitor production progress and communicate job status to management.
Track labor hours and support job-cost accountability.
Initiate Engineering Change Requests when clarification or additional documentation is needed.
Maintain accurate production, safety, and personnel documentation.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in heat exchanger manufacturing, repair, or a similar heavy fabrication environment.
2+ years of supervisory, lead, or foreman experience in a fabrication or manufacturing shop.
Hands-on experience with shell and tube heat exchanger assembly and repair.
Working knowledge of tube installation, expansion/rolling, welding coordination, hydrotesting, and final assembly.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manufacturing instructions, and production documentation.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of shell and tube heat exchanger construction and repair processes.
Familiarity with ASME and TEMA requirements.
Experience coordinating machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly operations.
Ability to troubleshoot fit-up, alignment, and fabrication issues.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade school, technical training, or apprenticeship in welding, machining, or fabrication preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, lift, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl, and reach overhead.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop with exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and typical industrial conditions.
Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, fabrication machinery, and lifting operations.
