Bulldozer Operator

Job Description:

Weaver-Bailey is looking for a Dozer Operator, the position is responsible for operating dozer equipment to perform mass grading, site preparation, and material movement on civil construction and earthwork projects. This role is essential to establishing proper subgrade, maintaining production efficiency, and supporting overall project progression through safe and precise equipment operation.

This position is one in which a momentary lapse of attention may result in grave and immediate danger to themselves and others; therefore, this position is classified as safety sensitive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dozer equipment to perform rough grading, stripping, spreading, and material movement
• Prepare building pads, roadways, and site work in accordance with project plans and specifications
• Work GPS systems to maintain proper elevation and alignment
• Maintain consistent production while ensuring quality and accuracy of work
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance
• Coordinate with foremen, survey crews, and other operators to ensure efficient workflow
• Monitor site conditions and adjust operations to maintain safety and productivity
• Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures at all times
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support overall earthwork operations

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating a dozer in civil construction or earthwork environments
• Working knowledge of mass grading, site prep, and construction sequence
• Experience working with GPS equipped equipment
• Proven ability to operate equipment safely in varying terrain and weather conditions
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspection and upkeep
• Strong understanding of Weaver-Bailey safety practices
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks as required
• All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening. Testing requirements may be Non-DOT or DOT regulated depending on the position applied for.
