Position Summary

The Building Supervisor has the primary responsibility of managing day-to-day operations that include, but are not limited to, programs, events, and physical facilities. The Building Supervisor will serve as Manager on Duty as needed to support venue operations in the absence of senior leadership.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.00 - $19.00.

About the Venue

Located in the heart of the Maryland Park Lake District in Maryland Heights, the Centene Community Ice Center and Saint Louis Music Park is an $83 million project funded through a public-private partnership with support from the City of Maryland Heights, St. Louis County, and the State of Missouri. This state-of-the-art facility features four NHL-sized ice sheets, including a covered outdoor rink designed as a multi-purpose venue for concerts, festivals, and other events. The primary tenants and major capital partners of the Centene Community Ice Center include the St. Louis Blues, Lindenwood University, St. Louis Blues Alumni, the St. Louis Blues AAA program, and the St. Louis Lady Cyclones. In addition to on-ice activity that extends beyond hockey, the facility offers sports medicine, therapy, training, and other ancillary medical services through Mercy Rehabilitation in partnership with EXOS Training. Other tenants include TPH Academy, the Pure Hockey retail store, 101 ESPN Radio, and more. The facility also features many food and beverage options, including 314 Social, which strives to be a St. Louis'' hockey bar and restaurant by providing a flair to St. Louis favorites; the Schnucks Grab N Go for quick and easy selections; and our general concessions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations that include, but are not limited to, programs, events, and physical facilities.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as needed to support venue operations in the absence of management.
  • Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately.
  • Use Sparx machines to sharpen skates.
  • Sell items in Hockey Pro Shop.
  • Supervision of CSR and janitorial employees.
  • Immediate and complete reporting of all liability issues.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the facility.
  • Act as crowd control manager as needed.
  • Monitor assigned events at Centene Community Ice Center and Saint Louis Music Park, as they interface with other events and activities scheduled in the venues.
  • Research and resolve customer service issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.
  • Exemplify the CCIC and OVG customer service principles.
  • Assist and perform other administrative duties as assigned and needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in a supervisory capacity at a similar venue highly desired.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on events, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to follow basic instruction and direction.
