Position Details
The City of Burnsville is recruiting for a Building Safety Inspector (Plumbing) position. We are seeking a candidate with strong plumbing knowledge and experience to perform plumbing inspections for residential and commercial construction projects. This recruitment may be used to fill either a Building Safety Inspector I or Building Safety Inspector II position based on the selected candidates qualifications, experience, and certifications. Applicants only need to submit one application to be considered for both levels.
As a Building Safety Inspector, youll work with residents, businesses, contractors, and City departments to ensure compliance with construction codes, ordinances, and regulations. Salary Range:
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. This position is open until filled. Applications received by August 9, 2026 will receive first consideration.
