The Building Permit Technician plays a key role in supporting the City's development process by managing permit intake, ensuring accurate records, and delivering high-quality customer service to the development community and public. The role maintains essential permitting and plan review data using My Government Online, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all records. It also supports financial operations by processing permit and utility fees. Through these responsibilities, the position helps ensure an efficient, transparent, and customer-focused permitting experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally. Subject to vision constantly; sitting, handling, fine dexterity, hearing and talking frequently; standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, bending, twisting and balancing occasionally; kneeling, climbing and foot controls rarely.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working conditions involves sitting for extended periods of time; occasional exposure to toner/ink cartridges and/or other hazardous chemicals.
