Job Summary
The Building Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the stadium's facilities, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and operational. This role requires a proactive individual with a wide range of maintenance skills, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, mechanical equipment servicing, and welding. The specialist will also need the ability to read and interpret blueprints to effectively perform and manage maintenance tasks. This position reports directly to the stadium's Building Maintenance Lead.
Essential Job Functions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant walking, standing, use of hands and feet, fingers, legs, reaching above shoulders, kneeling, bending and squatting. Frequent heavy lifting (up to 75lbs.). Very frequent light lifting (50lbs or less). Frequent light carrying (30lbs. or less). Adequate vision to read gauges, diagrams, and instructions and to identify potential hazards. Sufficient hearing ability to respond to auditory signals, alarms, and verbal communication.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Duties are performed in both indoor, climate-controlled settings and outdoor environments, where employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, and rain. Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, hazardous chemicals, and mechanical equipment. Employees must be able to understand and follow Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for safe handling of chemicals. Tasks may require working in confined spaces or at heights, including from ladders, scaffolding, or other elevated surfaces. Physical demands include heavy lifting and the use of power tools. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required. The position may also require shift flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and on-call assignments.

Driving Position - Operating County vehicles and/or equipment is a primary function of this position.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING: This position requires a physical, drug testing, drivers license verification and level 1 background screening.
BOARD APPROVED HOLIDAYS (14 days per year)
If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday before will be observed. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed. The County Administrator is authorized to change the observation schedule of holidays falling on weekends.
