Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires a thorough knowledge of heating and cooling equipment and must be capable of operating, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling equipment used by the college. Must be able to use various computer programs including MS Office Suite, and Software related to BAS. Must possess a valid Michigan drivers license.
Supervision
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives direction from the Chief Building Engineer. SUPERVISION GIVEN: Directs Full & Part-time maintenance and operational personnel as assigned.
Job Function
Primary responsibility for the repair and maintenance of College heating and cooling equipment. Performs specific tasks in and around the physical plants of the College as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
Education
High school graduate or equivalent; must have a valid high pressure boiler operators license and documented training in refrigeration equipment repair and operation.
Qualifications
Three years' experience performing repair and installation work on various types of high- and low-pressure heating boilers, cooling equipment, subordinate control equipment including some experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing various types of refrigeration equipment.
