    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

    This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
    • Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
    • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
    • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
    • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
    • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    Troubleshoot faults, perform scheduled servicing, and execute necessary repairs of the following:

    • HVAC/R
    • Chillers/Boilers
    • General Facility

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Minimum of two (2) years of building engineering or job-related experience.
    • Building Engineering experience that focuses on HVAC/R, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing
    • Fire Life/Safety Equipment experience is preferred
    • Building Management Systems (BMS) experience is preferred
    • EPA Universal required

    CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

    OSHA and MFPA 70E are preferred. Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

    OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

    Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

    Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

    Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

    Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
