Building Custodian/Janitor - Clay, NY

Davidson Ford is looking for a building custodian to help clean and maintain our beautiful facilities and join our team! This is position will be responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of both the Davidson Ford and Davidson Ford Pro Elite Dealerships.

Pay Range: $17 - $20/hr, based on experience

Hours: 5:30am - 2:00pm, Monday - Friday

Hours may be adjusted for early snow removal or deep cleaning if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting the trash throughout the facility, including employee offices and public spaces.
• Cleaning floors using a walk behind floor machine.
• Cleaning both inside and outside windows as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Service shop and Parts department.
• Cleaning and maintaining bathrooms including restocking supplies and cleaning the stainless steel fixtures.
• Overall dealership cleanliness from dust, dirt, debris, etc.
• Maintain parking areas by keeping them clean and litter free.
• Maintain walkways during the winter months by removing snow using a walk-behind snow blower and applying salt.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills:

• Must have a strong work ethic.
• Must have an attention to detail.

• Be able to work Independently and collaboratively.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous custodial experience.
• Experience using a floor machine and/or snow blower.
• Previous experience operating a forklift.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to perform repetitive motion tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, shoveling, etc.
• The ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including temperatures above 80 and below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
• The ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• The ability to stand for an extended period of time.
