Job Requirements

The Building Automation Technician (Integration Specialist) IV serves as an advanced-level technical expert responsible for leading the integration of advanced building automation system (BAS) projects. This role functions as a key technical leader, driving system optimization, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. This position may provide technical guidance to less experienced Integration Specialists.

 


Work Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology preferred. 
  • At least Six (6) years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC, electrical, or related technical fields, preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction or HVAC industry, control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications and submittal information required.
  • Mastery of low-voltage building sub-systems integration using protocols such as BACnet, LON, SLC, TCP/IP, RS-485, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Advanced technical skills in troubleshooting, system optimization, and the integration of network controllers, hardware, and software.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor Integration Specialists I-III.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, coworkers, and project stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solver with a positive attitude & strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Must be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
