Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

  • Under the general direction of the Utilities Manager and within established Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and in accordance with applicable codes and practices performs a wide variety of repairs, overhaul, and servicing duties on hospital plant and equipment with emphasis on building automation equipment.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • A thorough understanding of HVAC and controls principles and practices
  • A knowledge of a back net building automation system
  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, access crawl spaces; able to work extra shifts, able to work in harsh environment, such as boiler rooms, mechanical spaces, crawl spaces

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

License/Certification:

  • Refrigeration Technician License Preferred
