Responsibilities:
How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Diagnoses, repairs, upgrades, and calibrates complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems, with the specific ability to write, edit, and debug Siemens and Trane program code with minimal vendor guidance.
- Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance and diagnostics—including testing damper motors, checking wiring integrity, reviewing control sequences, and replacing faulty sensors—in accordance with hospital and industry standards.
- Analyzes system requirements, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot defects, handle overrides, resolve work orders, and ensure compliance with building, code, and safety standards.
- Performs system checkouts and leads automation system startups and commissioning for new or retrofitted building controls alongside in-house staff, contractors, vendors, and consulting engineers.
- Provides supervisory leadership to lower-level technicians and contractors, stands in for the Facilities Manager when absent, trains employees on fire and life safety systems, and maintains technical proficiency through continuous self-study.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Must have one or more of the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
And one or more of the following:
- Relevant License and 3 years’ experience
- 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of license
- Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
