Building and Cleaning Technician

Primary responsibilities encompass minor carpentry, painting, routine repairs such as changing lightbulbs, hoses, belts, and brushes, along with courier duties using trucks, cargo vans, or tractors. Work is primarily directed by the Manager of Building Operations and occasionally the Custodial Manager, with specific assignments guided by the Director of Exhibits, Facilities & Security.

This position will be posted until filled The building operations staff maintains a clean, welcoming, and secure environment across all interior and exterior facility areas. Primary responsibilities encompass minor carpentry, painting, routine repairs such as changing lightbulbs, hoses, belts, and brushes, along with courier duties using trucks, cargo vans, or tractors. Additional tasks involve clearing snow and trash from grounds, walkways, and parking structures. Work is primarily directed by the Manager of Building Operations and occasionally the Custodial Manager, with specific assignments guided by the Director of Exhibits, Facilities & Security. FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt Hours: Part-time up to 29.0 hrs/wk. Some evenings, weekends & holidays are required as needed Compensation: $17.43/hour Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. This shift will be adjusted as needed to accommodate the needs of service
