TRC's client is a nationally recognized engineering, architecture, construction, and consulting firm specializing in life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, laboratory, and food & beverage facilities. They are seeking a Building Analytics Consultant to join their growing sustainability team and support high-performance building projects focused on energy efficiency, decarbonization, and building performance optimization.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in energy modeling, building performance analysis, HVAC systems, and sustainable building design. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and architecture teams to evaluate building performance and develop energy-efficient solutions for complex industrial manufacturing and commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed building energy models using OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, IES VE, or similar software.
Analyze building performance data and provide recommendations for energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and sustainability improvements.
Review architectural, HVAC, and MEP design documents to evaluate building performance strategies.
Support LEED and sustainability certification efforts through energy modeling and technical documentation.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate sustainable design solutions.
Assist with decarbonization studies, sustainability planning initiatives, and energy performance assessments.
Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in energy modeling, building performance, sustainability consulting, or building analytics.
Experience with OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, IES VE, eQUEST, Trane Trace, or similar modeling software.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building envelope performance, and MEP systems.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Familiarity with LEED and sustainable building practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PE, CEM, ASHRAE BEMP, or similar industry certifications.
Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, Ladybug, or Honeybee.
Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, GMP, food & beverage, industrial manufacturing, or commercial building projects.
Background in sustainability planning, decarbonization studies, or high-performance building design.
