About the Role:Cajuns Fabulous Fried Chicken Inc is looking for a talented and passionate Buffet Cook to join our kitchen team in Gulfport, MS! If you love creating delicious, Southern-inspired comfort food and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, this is the opportunity for you. Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of buffet-style dishes, including fried chicken, sides, and Southern comfort food staples
- Monitor buffet line to ensure food is consistently fresh, well-stocked, and presented attractively
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to maintain food quality and consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station in compliance with food safety standards
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and replenishment of buffet items
- Properly store and label food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness
- Assist with receiving and rotating food inventory as needed
Requirements:- Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or in a buffet/high-volume kitchen setting preferred
- Knowledge of Southern and Cajun-style cooking techniques is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume food service environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Positive team-player attitude with strong communication skills
