The Budget/Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Reporting to the Senior Clinical Administrative Director, this position partners with faculty, clinical leadership, and administrative teams to provide financial reporting, budgeting and transactions. The successful candidate will support financial activities across multiple funding sources, including operating funds, research support, gifts, endowments, and faculty start-up accounts. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements.

Experience in academic medicine, higher education, or healthcare finance, preferably within USC or Keck Medicine of USC.
Familiarity with:
Grant accounting, including NIH and federally sponsored research
Clinical financial metrics such as RVUs and payer mix
Procurement and purchasing lifecycle processes
Experience using Workday and Concur.
The hourly rate range for this position is $34.00 - $35.00. Minimum Education: Bachelor''s degree

Minimum Experience: 1 year
Minimum Skills: Business administration, accounting or related degree and budget experience including knowledge of government and fund accounting. Strong computer skills with use of automated spreadsheets.
Preferred Education: Bachelor''s degree
Preferred Experience: 2 years
Preferred Skills: University budget experience and knowledge of university financial systems.
