    Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance? We are seeking a Budget Analyst to join our team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll play a critical part in managing and monitoring our budget operations and contract spending, ensuring accuracy and compliance across state and federal funding sources.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, review, and process journal vouchers to ensure accurate recording of expenditures and corrections.
    • Monitor contract spend against authorized budgets and generate regular reports on utilization, variances, and projections.
    • Track fund utilization across various funding sources and ensure alignment with appropriated and certified amounts.
    • Prepare and process budget revisions with clear documentation and audit trails.
    • Support reconciliation and address inquiries from program and finance staff regarding contract and budget matters.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in budget analysis, accounting, or financial reporting, preferably in a government or healthcare finance setting.
    • Proficiency in journal voucher processing, fund accounting, and budget revision procedures.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately.
    • Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial systems, capable of producing clear reports for leadership.
    • Ability to work independently and meet recurring deadlines.
    • Experience executing against multiple priorities/projects.
    • Proficient use of project collaboration and tracking tools (Microsoft Project Suite, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience monitoring contract spend on multiple contracts.
    • Experience with tracking fund utilization across state and federal sources.

    Preferences

    • Prior state government/public sector experience with health and human services programs (such as Medicaid, Medicaid Management Information System).
