Budget Analyst (Management Analyst I/II)

What You'll Do
As our next Budget Analyst, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining the City's financial foundation, including:
- Preparing the annual operating budget and Five‑Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
- Designing and producing the City's annual budget book using Adobe InDesign
- Maintaining and supporting the City's budget management system, providing troubleshooting, user training, and documentation
- Analyzing revenue and expenditure trends and preparing financial reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Coordinating budget adjustments, transfers, and amendments
- Maintaining accurate chart‑of‑accounts and documenting financial processes
- Supporting payroll, financial audits, and system upgrades
- Researching local, state, and federal regulations to assess financial impacts
- Collaborating with departments and agencies to validate and share financial data
- Taking on special projects and performing other analytical assignments
What You'll Bring

- Can independently prepare accurate reports, models, and visual materials with minimal supervision.

- Can manage website content using CMS platforms and produce polished publications using tools like Adobe InDesign
Experience & Education
- Experience: 2-3 years of progressively responsible fiscal or budget‑related experience, ideally in local government
- Education: Equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field
