Introduction
This is a special appointment position that will serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.Â
The Office of Budget Analysis has a flexible telework policy, with the option to be fully in person or to telework several days a week.

Main Purpose of Job
This position will serve as Budget Analyst within the Maryland Department of Budget and Management. This position has direct responsibility for analysis of operating budgets to assigned State agencies. If hired you will:Â

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masterâs degree preferred from an accredited college or university in public administration, public policy, business administration, economics, finance, or a related field. Applicants currently enrolled in a Masterâs program are eligible to apply.Â
Bachelorâs degree and equivalent relevant experience as determined by the search committee also eligible to apply.Â
The grade an applicant will be hired at (Budget Analyst I, II, III or IV) will be determined by the search committee based on a combination of relevant education and work experience.
