BUDGET ANALYST C-SES (PENDING POSITION CREATION) - 43004020 Four (4) years of professional experience in an Accounting or Finance related field is required. A post-secondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of experience on a year-for-year basis.Preferences Experience in FLAIR (PALM) and/or LAS/PBS.Experience working with Excel and Word.Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following required entry level knowledge, skills and abilities: Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in complex administrative and financial environments.Ability to review and verify information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to perform analysis of program information and to proactively report and respond to program/Division trends.Ability to use sound judgement and work independently.Ability to work in a team environment with shared tasks.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to handle and resolve conflicts.Ability to develop and regulate a system of internal controls within the position's scope of authority and responsibility and to see to it that staff subject to supervision are appropriately regulated and supervised in this regard.This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.Must be willing to work Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.The hiring salary range is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 and will be commensurate with experience.This position assists in completing the Legislative Budget Request; provides written review and analysis of proposed legislation; monitors monthly spending plans; reviews procurement documents for budgetary sufficiency; makes recommendations and ensures technical accuracy of budget amendments for assigned divisions; and monitors performance measures and standards for assigned divisions.For assistance, call the People First Service Center at (877) 562-7287 Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Eastern time.
