BSW Project Manager

The BSW Project Manager will support the optimization of Buried Service Wire (BSW) operations by coordinating contractors, managing service tickets, and working closely with field teams to improve operational efficiency and on-time installations. The role will manage multiple BSW contractors and support buried drop tickets across multiple states while ensuring issues are tracked, escalated, and resolved.

Job Description:
The BSW Project Manager will support the optimization of Buried Service Wire (BSW) operations by coordinating contractors, managing service tickets, and working closely with field teams to improve operational efficiency and on-time installations.
The role will manage multiple BSW contractors and support buried drop tickets across multiple states while ensuring issues are tracked, escalated, and resolved.
 
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer BSW escalations and jeopardy management.
Manage and coordinate 1–4 BSW contractors/vendors.
Conduct regular meetings with vendors to improve the percentage of drops completed before the due date.
Monitor buried service wire tickets and track progress through completion.
Coordinate with contractors and field personnel to increase BSW installation capacity and performance.
Identify potential project barriers and proactively resolve issues.
Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
Track multiple priorities, permits, tickets, and vendor activities simultaneously.
Ensure vendors meet established deadlines, quality expectations, and operational requirements.
Maintain accurate records and updates in ticketing and other project management systems.
Support budget/vendor management activities as needed.
 
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of telecom industry experience – MUST HAVE.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical work experience.
Strong project management and coordination skills.
Experience managing vendors or contractors.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within demanding timelines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Customer-focused mindset.
Comfortable participating in video meetings/on-camera discussions.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills – MUST HAVE.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams.
 
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in telecom, construction, engineering, permitting, or project coordination.
Experience with fiber network builds and aerial/underground construction.
Knowledge of Buried Service Wire (BSW) processes.
Vendor management and/or budget management experience.
Familiarity with IQGeo, GIS, Power Apps, ticketing systems, or utility applications.
Strong overall computer and software skills.
