Bridge Engineer 

Job Type: Full-time  Location: Fishers, Indiana Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 per year 

GAI Consultants is hiring a Bridge Engineer for our Indiana Transportation team in Fishers. You will design bridges and transportation structures for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), counties, and cities across the state. You will also work with bridge engineers in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.

This role is a great fit for a licensed engineer who enjoys hands-on design, likes teaching others, and wants to grow into project leadership. 

What You'll Do 

• Perform structural analysis and prepare bridge plans, calculations, and specifications to AASHTO and INDOT standards
• Lead tasks within project budget and schedule
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work
• Help prepare scope, fee, and Letter of Interest proposals
• Check work for quality and client requirements
• Visit construction sites and attend client meetings as needed

Required Qualifications 

• 4+ years of engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Indiana
• Experience with INDOT standards and federally funded projects
• Experience with county and city bridge projects
• Experience with bridge design software such as LEAP, MDX, Midas, or AASHTOWare

Preferred 

• Master's degree in structural engineering
• MicroStation experience
• Bridge inspection experience

Final pay is based on experience.
