    Job Summary:

    The Breast Center Technician I performs a variety of clinical, technical and clerical tasks. The Breast Center Technician I assists with patient visits: major duties include preparation for outpatient visits, assisting physicians, nurses and technologists with procedures, communicating normal results to patients, coordinating call back appointments and documenting clinical data which may include verifying the accuracy of radiology report findings to ensure they are clearly and correctly documented. It also includes reviewing and confirming the accuracy of patient letters before they are sent, ensuring consistency with the radiology report and MQSA laws.

    EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

    A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a healthcare setting doing work related to the listed job functions is required.

    Experienced Medical Assistant, LPN, or Certified CNA or related healthcare technician is required.

    EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

    High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

    LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

    American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
