The Fall Season is almost here! Bread Stop Bakery is looking for Packaging Assistants to join our team. Work is fast paced and hands-on. The team is small and mighty. Attention to detail, engagement with team members and ability to multi-task is a must.
TASKS:
- Packaging fresh bakery products
- Labeling and Sorting items for next day deliveries
- General cleaning and organizing of the work area
- Prepping supplies used for packaging
- Active engagement with coworkers and assisting in troubleshooting & problem solving.
Prior bakery or packaging experience is not required. Kitchen/Restaurant, Barista experience and skills transfer very well. Applicants need to be able to pay attention to details, multi-task, have good math skills, and strong communication skills. The work is a team effort.
SCHEDULE:
- Approximately 30hr/week. Less hours per week is negotiable
- 1 pm start time. End of shift varies by the day, depending on production levels.
- Currently Mon, Wed & Thurs are required workdays for this team.
The Bread Stop Bakery is a local, family-owned wholesale bakery in Eugene. We produce hand crafted bread in small batches using traditional bread making methods. Bread Stop breads are made from natural ingredients and are free of additives or preservatives. We are proud to serve our community for 40 years. Our products are found in local groceries stores, restaurants, food trucks and University dining halls.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Is dependable, prompt and has reliable transportation
- A quick learner and actively engages in the work at hand
- Is observant and pays attention to small details
- Utilizes math skills when structuring tasks
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Is team oriented and actively participates in meeting the goals and daily timelines of the Packaging Team
- Has strong communication skills
- Is able to stand on their feet for long periods of time
- Is able to lift up to 35lbs
- Follows and maintains health and safety procedures and guidelines
- Has a current Food Handler s Card or will obtain one upon hire
