Whole Foods Market is the leading natural and organic foods retailer, and we"re building brand programs, partnerships, and storytelling to match. Our Brand Engagement & Experiences team sits at the intersection of food culture, purpose-driven content, and immersive activations that connect customers, Team Members, and communities to the higher purpose at the heart of our brand: Nourishing People and the Planet.

We are seeking a Program Manager to own and elevate our supplier engagement, storytelling and recognition programs. This person is a strategic thinker who can deepen supplier partnerships and unlock new storytelling opportunities across events, content, and social channels. This role is event-heavy: we need someone with proven events experience who is highly organized, sets ambitious goals and metrics, and can seamlessly shift between big-picture strategy and day-of operations. The role will create impactful and scalable programs with our suppliers to build Whole Foods Market brand love among our suppliers, customers and Team Members. A quarter of the role will be dedicated to broader team event support and execution.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and grow supplier storytelling initiatives that amplify our brand and create a positive echo chamber across owned and earned channels
  • Draft creative briefs and go-to-market plans that look holistically across internal and external audiences
  • Create high-quality content across multiple formats - presentations/slides, video, panel discussions, social, and long-form written narratives - that highlights supplier stories and reinforces brand values
  • Develop and produce compelling panels and video content featuring suppliers for internal and external audiences
  • Build and manage presentation decks for executive events, summits, and cross-functional storytelling moments
  • Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Social, and PR teams to identify, develop, and promote supplier narratives
  • Manage supplier integrations into key company events, including CEO quarterly meetings
  • Proactively cultivate supplier relationships that expand the pipeline of partnership and activation opportunities over time

Event & Content Management

  • Support with event strategy, content prioritization and writing
  • Support food and beverage contracts, vendor relations, and event logistics
  • Manage vendor relationships with professionalism, clear communication, and strong follow-through
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless event experiences

  • Support internal team member engagement programming, including large-scale activations
  • Contribute to the strategy and delivery of recognition programs that build culture and community

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
