Montana Technological University, the state's STEM university located in the vibrant, historic community of Butte, is seeking a skilled Brand Communications Coordinator to help with Marketing and Admissions initiatives through dynamic, authentic storytelling. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, paired with 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, brand management, or corporate communications.

In this role, you will act as a key architect of the university's narrative, spearheading our official TikTok launch and producing high-impact digital and print content designed to drive prospective student recruitment. From writing targeted email campaigns within our EMP/CRM and updating mtech.edu to producing short-form videos that capture the Oredigger experience, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain a consistent, persuasive brand voice across all touchpoints.

Duties:

As Montana's STEM University, Montana Tech is committed to amplifying our institutional narrative through high-impact, authentic storytelling and a seamless digital experience. To achieve this, the university is seeking an innovative, versatile, and detail-oriented Brand Communications Coordinator to join our team.

This role serves as a vital strategic bridge between Marketing and Admissions, directly driving recruitment by engaging a digital-native audience. As a key architect of our institutional narrative, the successful candidate will blend creative content creation with technical precision. A major priority of this position will be spearheading the university's first-ever official TikTok channel, alongside developing dynamic content for marketing campaigns, admissions initiatives, the university website (mtech.edu), and Enrollment Management Platform (EMP).

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Spearhead the strategy, content creation, and community management for the university's TikTok platform, translating campus life and STEM achievements into authentic, highly engaging narratives.
• Support organic and paid acquisition efforts across SEO, AI Engine Optimization (AIEO), and digital ad creative to expand institutional visibility and recruitment reach.
• Craft compelling, targeted copy for email campaigns, web stories, and marketing collateral designed to guide prospective Orediggers from initial interest to successful enrollment.
• Write and distribute prospective student communications, campaign updates, and event details across both digital and traditional print channels.
• Produce cohesive, high-quality visual and written content that strictly aligns with Montana Tech's institutional brand guidelines.
• Optimize recruitment communications within the EMP/CRM, ensuring a seamless, persuasive, and consistent brand voice across all prospective student touchpoints.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, paired with 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, brand management, or corporate communications.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate brand messaging across diverse audiences and channels.
• Hands-on experience creating, organizing, and publishing content.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience drafting engaging copy and managing publishing workflows across on TikTok.
• Eye for visual identity, brand consistency, and tone-of-voice alignment.
• Basic familiarity with tracking content performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
• Understanding of SEO and AI Engine Optimization

Physical Demands:

• This position is an on-premise position, requiring the selected candidate to be in the office 40 hours per week.
