Position Overview
Texas Tool Belt is hiring Brand Ambassadors to serve as trusted, visible representatives of our organization in communities across Texas. Brand Ambassadors engage community members at doors, events, worksites, campuses, and public spaces—building awareness, trust, and participation in civic, labor, advocacy, and nonpartisan initiatives.
This role blends community outreach, relationship-building, and brand representation, and is ideal for individuals who are outgoing, reliable, and passionate about community engagement and people-powered change.
Position Requirements
Ability to work 25–30+ hours per week, including evenings and weekends
Flexible schedule with potential short-notice changes
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort initiating conversations with the public
Ability to communicate key messages clearly, accurately, and respectfully
Comfort working independently and as part of a structured outreach team
Professional demeanor and appearance while representing Texas Tool Belt
- Access to a charged smartphone for scheduling, data entry, and reporting
- Ability to meet engagement and performance goals (contacts made, sign-ups, materials distributed)
- Willingness to work outdoors and at public events in varying weather conditions
- Openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous improvement
- Ability to work full shifts without set breaks
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required
- Basic navigation and mapping skills using mobile apps
Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent Texas Tool Belt at community events, worksites, campuses, and public locations
- Conduct door-to-door or site-based outreach, as assigned
- Share accurate information about civic participation, union engagement, issue advocacy, or nonpartisan programs
- Build rapport and trust with community members through respectful, human-to-human interactions
- Distribute educational, promotional, or advocacy materials
- Encourage sign-ups, pledges, or participation consistent with program goals
- Accurately document outreach data and engagement metrics using provided tools
- Attend required trainings, briefings, and staff meetings
- Provide field feedback on community response, messaging effectiveness, and logistics
- Uphold all compliance requirements for partisan, issue-based, union, or nonpartisan programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Compliance Note: Brand Ambassadors may be assigned to partisan, union, issue advocacy, or strictly nonpartisan programs and must adhere to all applicable legal and organizational guidelines. Employees may not engage in conflicting campaign or advocacy work during active assignments.
