Job Details

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Branch Manager to lead the daily operations, financial performance, and continued growth of a commercial field-service business.

Our ideal candidate comes from commercial overhead doors, loading docks, gates, access control, elevators, commercial HVAC, mechanical service, or a similar technician-driven commercial service industry.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands how to manage a profitable branch while remaining closely involved with technicians, customers, dispatch, and operational execution.

What You'll Do

●Own the branch's full P&L, including revenue, expenses, profitability, labor utilization, and financial performance.

●Oversee daily operations across field service, installation, project management, dispatch, inventory, purchasing, and customer service.

●Lead, hire, train, and develop service technicians, supervisors, administrative personnel, and other branch employees.

●Manage technician scheduling, dispatch, service delivery, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.

●Monitor service performance, job costing, labor hours, margins, billing, collections, and operational KPIs.

●Partner with sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth, customer retention, and new opportunities.

●Establish and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers, contractors, facility managers, and key accounts.

●Support commercial installation, repair, equipment replacement, and preventative maintenance programs.

●Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with operational and workplace safety standards.

●Manage inventory, equipment, purchasing, and vendor relationships.

●Identify opportunities to improve profitability, streamline processes, and strengthen branch performance.

●Provide regular financial and operational reporting to leadership.

●Represent the business within the local commercial service and contractor community.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

●Proven leadership experience as a Branch Manager, General Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, or similar position within a commercial field-service or equipment-related business.

●Strong preference for experience in commercial overhead doors, loading docks, gates, elevators, access control, commercial HVAC, mechanical service, or closely related commercial equipment service industries.

●Experience managing field technicians, service teams, installation crews, or technical service operations.

●Demonstrated financial accountability, including P&L ownership, budget management, or significant responsibility for branch profitability.

●Strong understanding of technician scheduling, dispatch, customer service, labor management, and operational efficiency.

●Ability to analyze financial statements, job costs, margins, and operational KPIs.

●Experience hiring, coaching, and developing employees.

●Strong customer relationship management and problem-solving skills.

●Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic decisions and daily operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

●Direct experience with commercial overhead door, dock equipment, or gate installation and service.

●Background progressing from technician, field supervisor, or Service Manager into branch or operations leadership.

●Experience managing preventative maintenance contracts and recurring commercial service revenue.

●Familiarity with field-service management software, ERP systems, or platforms such as ServiceTitan or NetSuite.

●Experience improving underperforming branches or scaling service operations.

●Exposure to acquisitions, integrations, or multi-location service businesses.

What Success Looks Like

●You're the type of leader who starts the morning reviewing the dispatch schedule, checks in with technicians on challenging service calls, and understands exactly how your branch is performing financially.
●
You know your customers, understand your labor costs, and can identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

●Most importantly, you take ownership. You treat the branch like your own business, develop your people, and consistently deliver results.

Career Growth

●Successful Branch Managers have the opportunity to advance into multi-branch, regional operations, or broader leadership positions as the organization continues to grow.

●If you're an experienced commercial service leader looking for more autonomy, ownership, and long-term opportunity, we'd love to hear from you!
