Helget Gas Products is looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to lead route drivers, installation/service technicians, and warehouse technicians. We're glad to teach the right candidate our industry and business - but we're looking for someone who already brings proven leadership and management skills, including experience holding people accountable.What You'll DoHire, train, and develop staff, with ongoing coaching, counseling, and performance evaluationsPlan and lead weekly training meetings for drivers, warehouse staff, and team leadsInventory drivers' trucks in and out each dayManage and oversee daily workflow across the branchPerform warehouse inventory counts and reconciliationCollaborate with the Branch Manager and corporate team leads to help achieve company goalsValidate quality control and ensure compliance with FDA regulations and proceduresOperate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)Identify and drive improvements to operational processesOversee all branch operations - fills, compliance, repairs, deliveries, and maintenanceEnsure drivers complete daily logs and paperwork (fill logs, plant logs, delivery logs, tickets, etc.)Follow up on preventive maintenance (PMs) and equipment repairs to ensure timely completionSpot opportunities for cost savings and process improvementMaintain cash and check logs, following proper procedures for handling moniesMaintain material supply levels according to Helget's established par levelsPartner with warehouse and corporate teams to keep everyone aligned on company goalsTake on other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree preferred (relevant management experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)2+ years of management experience, preferably managing driversHands-on, front-line management experience, including a track record of holding direct reports accountableExperience managing 5+ direct reportsFDA and DOT experience requiredMedical industry experience ideal but not requiredStrong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lift up to 75 lbsWork EnvironmentThis role is based in a manufacturing environment with conditions typical of that setting.
