    Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

    • Work alongside the Operations Manager and lead all aspects of the lumber distribution yards operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics. This includes, but is not limited to, developing and implementing efficient operational processes to optimize productivity and minimize costs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among staff.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential customers and market opportunities and assist sales team with generating sales leads and following up on inquiries from prospective clients.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty while addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Recruit, train, and supervise employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Set performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Responsible for overseeing inventory levels and coordinate with procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained, while conducting regular inventory audits and ensuring that all inventory meets established standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
    • Previous experience in operations management, preferably in the lumber or building materials industry.
    • Sales experience or a willingness to learn and assist with sales efforts, preferred but not required.
